Convergence has lovingly brought three decades of exciting and creative music together. Following this amazing span of collective listening, the band understands how each other breathes, musically speaking, and when to leave space in the air.

A new Convergence recording, due out in early 2024, brings fresh and organically-inspired music. Many of the newest songs and pieces draw musical portraits of particular people, or times…or even a beloved dog. Their ethic–to collectively balance melody, harmony, and rhythm, and always swing–is well-expressed in the words of the great Jimmy Heath: “Jazz at its best is a democracy of creativity.”
