Put on your conductor’s hat and follow us to the mountains for Boreas Pass Railroad Day in Como, CO on August 21st. This is a full day event with Denver Brass presenting a concert featuring guest artists Celtic Colorado Pipes & Drums, and classic Americana, Celtic music and other fan favorites, promptly at 2:30pm. The festival will also feature fascinating Colorado history, live train demonstrations, children’s activities and more!
The concert and festival are both free of charge!
Looking for a way to get to Boreas Pass Railroad Day? Our friends with the National Railway Historical Society are organizing a bus trip for those who are interested!
The bus will leave the RTD Thornton Park & Ride at 6:30 AM, Union Station (Wynkoop side) about 6:50, and RTD Mineral Ave. (Santa Fe Dr. & Mineral Ave.) about 7:15. Arrival in Como about 9:00 AM. Leave Como 15 minutes after concert concludes. The bus cost will be $29 each. We will have an optional side trip to Fairplay for lunch and browsing, included.
