The Gavin Worland Big Band (G.W.B.B.) is an 18-piece jazz ensemble made up of the finest young musicians along the front range who have an extreme love and passion for the eclectic world of jazz. This band is the brainchild of Gavin Worland, a 21-year-old, composer, arranger, producer, and trumpeter with over 12 years of experience in music, currently studying in the Jazz & American Improvised Music Department at Metropolitan State University of Denver with an emphasis in Jazz Trumpet. Some of his mentors include but are not limited to amazing musicians such as: Greg Gisbert, Shane Endsley, Dawn Clement, Adam Bartczak, Dru Heller, and many more of Denver’s finest musicians.

The music being performed are exclusively written and arranged for this band by Gavin and other members of the band with influences such as Chick Corea, Bob Brookmeyer, Steven Feifke, Annie Booth, Remy Le Boeuf, and the late great Ron Miles.

The Gavin Worland Big Band is ready to show Dazzle that thanks to the amazing educators we have been fortunate to study under while collaborating with one another, the future of big bands is nothing short of spectacular.
