Kat Ellis’ music is a result of the outstanding jazz education opportunities along the front range, most notably the CCJA Adult Jazz programming. Kat is an authentic and accessible jazz musician. Her gift of expression and storytelling using her emotive voice lets her cover tunes ranging from reflective to torchy, witty to sorrowful.

This concert is about working with some of her CCJA mentors on material that is not part of the jazz jam culture but is certainly part of the book of classic jazz tunes. Including compositions by composers including Django Reinhardt, Chick Corea, Michel Legrand, and others, this ensemble will captivate you with fresh arrangements by Pete Lewis.
