Featuring a unique blend of jazz, folk and classical music, forged over 20 years of collaboration, violinist Leena Waite and pianist Adam Waite make their Dazzle debut performance with a dynamic set of original compositions, covers and standards. Married since 2008, Leena Waite and Adam Waite’s music is experienced as a “musical conversation” – a freely flowing, improvised, artistic expression of friendship and hope, of grief and sorrow, of joy and love.

Violinist Leena Waite is heard most frequently as an on-call section violinist for the Colorado Symphony and Opera Colorado, as well as chamber music performances with Front Range Chamber Players, Friends of Chamber Music, the Highlands Ranch Mansion series and her new vocal/string quartet group, ReSound. As a recording artist, she’s collaborated with many notable jazz musicians, including Michael Mayo, Loren Stillman, Alan Ferber, Ike Sturm, Jesse Lewis, Sara Caswell and Jenny Scheinman.

Pianist Adam Waite is the Minister of Music at Denver’s historic Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church, where, in 2019, he conducted and was pianist for the Denver all-star big band and Westminster Choir performance of Duke Ellington’s Sacred Concert. Through Montview, he regularly collaborates with vocalist JoFoKe and trumpeter Shane Endsley, including their trio performance at Red Rock’s inaugural post-covid concert, 8 o’clock howl. Adam’s jazz-inspired arrangements have been performed nationwide, including the Colorado Symphony, the folk super-group I’m With Her, and over 40 different Broadway casts, during his time as Music Director for Broadway Cares: Carols for a Cure.
