Mimouna” is a traditional North African Jewish celebration which marks the end of Passover. This year’s Mimouna will be dedicated to Mizrachi, Sephardic, and Yemenite Jewry and will celebrate the vibrancy of these beautiful cultures within the Jewish heritage.

This very special virtual evening will feature a private concert from Israel’s leading international singer/songwriter, Achinoam Nini (also known as Noa) and her musical partner, Gil Dor.

Join us as we celebrate Jewish diversity through experiential workshops and a private virtual concert with international singer/songwriter Noa.

In advance of the musical celebration, we invite attendees to join us for engaging experiential breakout workshops focused on our theme of “A Celebration of Jewish Diversity”.

Learn more about each breakout workshop:
The Diversity of the Jewish World:
Facilitator: Noam Dahary, Associate Director, Jewish National Fund Mountain States

In reality, about 30% of Jews have roots from outside of Europe (Spain, the Arab world, and Africa). Join us as we celebrate Jewish diversity and explore the many different colors of the Jewish world.

B’Taam Temani: A Taste of Yemenite Jewry:
Facilitator: Rabbi Sharona Grinsteiner, Director of Jewish Learning, Hebrew Educational Alliance
Rabbi Sherry Grinsteiner was born and raised in an Orthodox Yemenite Moshav (community) in Israel. She will share Shabbat and holiday traditions from her childhood and speak of the rich Yemenite Jewish culture and heritage.

Osnat and Her Dove” Reading and Q&A with the Author, Sigal Samuel:
Facilitator: Sigal Samuel, Journalist and Novelist

The book is about the world’s 1st female rabbi, Osnat Barzani, who led a 16th century Mosul yeshiva for Kurdish Jewry.
