Caffè Sole Supper Club has one of the premier residency events ever this weekend, The Rico Jones All-Star Sextet: Tribute to the Jazz Trumpet Masters. Rico Jones is hailed as one of the great emerging talents anywhere in the world of jazz.

In 2019 Rico Jones was awarded 1st prize in the Vandoren Emerging Artist competition. Rico and two of his ensembles also received a total of  4 Downbeat awards for the 2020 edition of their SDA program including “Jazz Soloist”, “Small Jazz Ensemble” and two awards in the “Latin Jazz” category. In 2021 Rico Received two more DBA awards from Downbeat Magazine, “Jazz Soloist” and “Jazz Arrangement”.

About the show in Rico’s words: “In celebration of the rich history of Jazz trumpet, the Rico Jones Sextet will feature some of the world’s greatest living trumpeters, Brad Goode (Friday & Saturday), Greg Gisbert (Saturday), and Hugh Ragin (Friday)!

Artists celebrated will include Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Red Rodney, Art Farmer, Kenny Dorham, Freddie Hubbard, Don Cherry, Woody Shaw, Thad Jones, and more!”

Caffè Sole Jazz Supper Club is an intimate venue and because we don’t take reservations and it often fills up, we recommend that you come early, get a table and enjoy an excellent meal and enjoy the show! Seating and dinner begin at 6 pm and showtimes are 7 – 10 pm.
