Rising star trombonist and vocalist Natalie Cressman (Trey Anastasio Band) joins Denver pianist Peter John Stoltzman for a Friday night show celebrating their 2019 album release, New Standards Project Vol. 1. Stoltzman has reimagined popular hits of the past 4 decades, from Cindy Lauper’s “Time After Time” to Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy,” Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” and Dave Matthews Band’s “Satellite.” The quartet is rounded out with Venezuelan bass virtuoso Gonzalo Teppa, and top-call drummer Dru Heller.
