Raíces Brewing Co, Denver Councilwoman Jamie Torres of District 3 and panelists join forces to provide information, bring consciousness, and reform on topics about racism.

This is a 5-part series. We understand the need of discussing topics to different audiences and elevate the dialogue, narratives and identities. Within the discussions we examine racism and its historic and present-day impact, we provide information on effective protest and activism, on how to be anti-racist, nuances of racism, human rights and policy. The free series will be provided on-site from July 21 – August 18.

Participants will:
Have the opportunity to acquire information from panelists, leaders of the community, experts and discussions itself on the topic

Build a clear understanding of key concepts such as racism, colorism, racial equity and structural racism

Learn how to identify self-biases, prejudice, institutionalized structures that maintain racism

Learn to talk about race constructively

Identify opportunities and next steps for applying concepts and strategies to advance racial equity

Only 50 guests will be able to register to be inside the taproom where light food refreshments will be provided.
