The world-famous Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble will perform “Rise & Move,” which celebrates diversity, equity, community, and carry the holiday spirit of Kwanzaa into 2021.
This commitment to diversity has spread throughout the city. The City of Northglenn government and the Northglenn Arts & Humanities Foundation have each made diversity a high-level goal in their 5-year action plans.
“It has always been a goal for Northglenn Arts to provide the opportunity for diverse stories to be told,” said Cultural Programs Supervisor Michael Stricker. “No matter the medium, the arts represent a wonderfully neutral area where all types of artists can come to tell their story in front of an audience as diverse as they are.”
The audience situation this year will be dramatically different than when Cleo Parker Robinson Dance graced the D.L. Parsons last February. Only 50 audience members will be allowed per event, and all of them must wear masks. But don’t worry if you’re concerned about crowds or can’t obtain tickets. The two shows will be live streamed, so you can watch from anywhere with internet access.
February 25 & 26, 7:30 pm MDT at Northglenn Arts in the DL Parsons Theatre
