Caffè Sole features Dr. Raul Murciano, the founder of Miami Sound Machine and more recently The Colorado Mambo Orchestra. Dr. Murciano is a highly esteemed composer, band leader, and pianist in addition to being an accomplished painter. Per Dr. Murciano, “what do you get when you assemble a musical group comprised of top international players from Cuba, Mexico, and the US that draw from two distinctly unique pools of Cuban and Brazilian traditions? Come out to Caffe Sole Jazz Supper Club this coming Friday night and find out! We’re calling it “Salsa Meets Samba” and you are in for an extraordinary musical treat.”
We’ve created an ensemble that features members of Raul Murciano’s Colorado Mambo Orchestra for the Cuban angle (Murciano on piano, Gerardo Aguillon on violin, Andrew Rose on bass, Leo Corona on congas, and vocalist Tomás Bell), together with vocalist Gui Kroneberger, guitarist Bill Kopper and Alejandro Castaño on drums to add the Brazilian component. They’ve put together a repertoire of Cuban and Brazilian music that runs the gamut from dance-inducing rhythms to intimate boleros and sensuous Bossa Novas.
Caffè Sole has an exquisite dinner planned paired with selections from an impressive wine list, and get ready to sweat and swoon with Salsa Meets Samba! For this special occasion, Caffè Sole is featuring two traditional fabulous Latin dinner specials: Carne Asada with a grilled 8-ounce ribeye steak, refried beans, Spanish rice and guacamole, and a small salad. Secondly, we will offer a Chicken Quarter covered with a delicious Dark Mole Sauce, with a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds and nuts, beans and rice, pico de gallo, and salad.
Caffè Sole Jazz Supper Club is an intimate venue and because we don’t take reservations and it often fills up, we recommend that you come early, get a table, and enjoy an excellent meal and show! Seating and dinner begin at 6:00 and Showtime at 7:00-9:30 pm. Cover Charge is $20
