The Matt Skellenger Group Live at Swallow Hill’s Tuft Theater

This one-of-a-kind group from Denver performs the original music of Matt Skellenger. The group’s instrumentation is a unique mixture of acoustic instruments that are centuries old (Tabla, Ghatam, Cajon, Trumpet, Trombone, Drums, Conch Shell), with modern electric instruments and effects (Electric Bass, Pedal Steel Guitar, Effects Pedals). The music blends jazz, world, funk, and fusion influences to create a sound, unlike anything you have heard. Matt’s music has been featured on TV, in film and is regularly played on the radio on 89.3 KUVO in Denver. The group is debuting some new music as they prepare to head to Mighty Fine Productions to record a new album.
