The Orchid Room is a collaboration of Denver jazz musicians, bringing you original music and arrangements. Inspired by such artists as Kurt Rosenwinkel, Aaron Parks, Aaron Goldberg, Kendrick Scott Oracle, Terence Blanchard, and many others, the Orchid Room creating emotion and color through composition and performance. “Places,” the band’s newest album, explores the fascinating and exotic parts of the world that composer Amy Darling has visited while performing as a cruise ship musician, from Denmark to Japan to the infinite blue sea.
