The Solution is a weekly hip hop party in Denver, CO, started on February 4th, 2007 by DJ Low Key & Sounds Supreme. Since that fateful night, the party has treated thousands of hip hop fans to unique events (SXSW showcases, an annual J Dilla tribute, surprise performances), top notch guest DJs (DJ Revolution, DJ Spinbad, Cutmaster Swiff of Outkast), national talent (Blu & Exile, Tanya Morgan, Slum Village), inspiring art (Detour, Joseph Martinez, Dunn the Signtologist) and most importantly, created a consistent weekly home for quality hip hop in the Mile High City. In December 2010, Sounds Supreme took a step back from weekly duty at the party and Denver’s hip hop mainstay DJ Lazy Eyez joined the team. Then in October 2014, we added renowned photographer Armando Geneyro (of #TheyShootn / IG @Armando_Geneyro) to the squad – forming the modern version of the The Solution that graced The Meadowlark for the last 5ish years. In November 2018, the party makes a move to award-winning Denver venue, The Black Box, to launch a new era.
