The VIP’s are a Denver based funk group comprised of a rotating cast of musicians that includes Eric Imbrosciano, Taylor Scott, Todd Smallie, Patrick McDevitt, and AJ Salas. This week our special guest is Eric “Benny” Bloom (Lettuce) on trumpet and vocals. This show is the official start of a weekly funk jam at Dazzle led by members of the VIP’s. In piecing the group together, drummer Eric Imbrosciano says he carefully picked a combination of area musicians including players who may not have worked together before but whose personal sounds and backgrounds would mix well and bring a new energy to the music. This week’s session featuring Benny Bloom will bring original music and choice covers that span multiple genres to this groove-based performance.
