A special night of solo piano from three of Colorado’s finest musicians, and a golden opportunity for tranquil listening at its very best.

Annie Booth is a Denver-based jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and educator. She has established herself as an active force on the scene both as a bandleader of the Annie Booth Trio and as a busy side-woman. She performs in legendary trumpeter Greg Gisbert’s quartet, most notably on a recent tour of Mexico through the “New York Jazz All-Stars” concert series. Booth is a recipient of an ASCAP Young Jazz Composers Award (2011 & 2017) and was recently awarded the 2017 ASCAP Phoebe Jacobs Prize, an award that recognizes a promising young female jazz composer.

From piano lessons as a little girl in Brazil, to composing for her jazz septet in Colorado, Carmen Sandim has found in music her lifetime adventure and passion. Over the past few decades Sandim’s eclectic musical aesthetics have drawn her towards classical piano studies, jazz and composition pursuits, a stint as an advertising and documentary composer, and a long-lasting commitment to improvised music pedagogy and jazz composition.

Pianist/vocalist/composer Dawn Clement has established herself as one of the most sought-after musicians working today. With her joyful presence, consummate technique, and distinctive sound, Clement has gained the attention and respect of musicians, critics and fans throughout the US and abroad. “In all this world of jazz, there are very few individual voices, no matter what the instrument, but Dawn has come up with a voice that’s unique,” says legendary jazz trombonist Julian Priester.
