YEAR OF LA CHICANA—A partnership between History Colorado and the El Movimiento Community Advisory Committee, Year of La Chicana celebrates and honors La Chicana past, present and future and shares her story with a wide range of audiences.
During this year we are working with community to connect the core issues of the Chicano movement with present day issues of social justice, identity and inclusion.

Chicana Women’s Storytelling Lab/ Partnership with Denver City’s “I am Denver”
Sunday, April 26 | 1:00 — 4:00pm
Join History Colorado and the City and County of Denver’s “I Am Denver” initiative to celebrate the stories of Denver’s rich Chicana history. This storytelling lab brings together Chicana women across generations to share and tell their stories. The stories will be collected and shared on the city and county’s “I Am Denver” website.
