”Still Going On” is our music recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the release of his classic landmark album, “What’s Going On” and the music of Marvin Gaye. Motown records founder Barry Gordy did not want Marvin creating any social justice music. However Gaye co-wrote, produced and released the “What’s Going On” single anyway in January 1971. It became and instant hit with the full album following in May 1971 and other single releases through November 1971.

Smooth jazz artists Jeff Golub, Elan Troutman, Peter White, Quincy Jones and Richard Elliott are among the artists recording jazz covers of music from the “What’s Going On” album. These and other artists arrangements, along with original tracks by Marvin Gaye are a special groove blend for an evening of exciting music.

Join host Adam Morgan on the Groove Jazz Rendezvous at 8 pm, Saturday, May 29 for the special presentation, “Still Going On.”
