KUVO’s High School & Collegiate Series presents the Denver East High School Jazz Combo on Tuesday, February 6 at 7 p.m.

A nationally known and respected saxophonist, Keith Oxman announced his retirement at the end of this term as the band director for jazz at Denver East High School, where he’s been since 2000. Under his direction, the Denver East High Jazz Combo (14 of the best musicians at East High) plays and studies the jazz standards but at the same time is heavily focused on developing their voices and compositions.

Members include Jordan Scoville and Ella Bygrave (violins), Noah Vong and Perry Honey-Hochstadt (alto saxophones), Chaszer Waldron (tenor saxophone), Isaac Ely (trombone), Lucian Manthey (trumpet), Ben Meyers, Ben Brown and Emerson Vaughan (guitars), Madeleine Senger and Brayden Winters (pianos), Jed Rooney (electric bass), and Quinn Reilly (drums).
