KUVO listeners may know Janine Santana as a Latin Jazz musician and dedicated supporter of the pleasures that this unique jazz station brings to the neighborhood and the world.

Of Puerto Rican descent – via Brooklyn, New York and Trenton, New Jersey – Janine has lived with a deep love for Afro-Cuban and Caribbean traditions as well as Jazz for as long as she can remember.

Steeped in traditional and straight-ahead jazz – a fondness she inherited from her trumpeter mom – Janine has a passionate love for the great American art form.

A professional performing artist in a variety of genres for the past 35 years, Janine is now delighted to share music as the host of Salsa Con Jazz as she continues to record and perform.

Tune in on Monday afternoons at 1 pm for Jazz with Janine Santana and on Sundays at 2 pm for Salsa Con Jazz!
