Our Jazz Appreciation Month celebration continues on Sunday, April 22 at 2:15pm when we welcome the Román Díaz’s Afro Cuban Group to the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio. The group performs a selection of the diverse folkloric traditions inherited in Cuba from West Africa and The Caribbean, highlighting the Bantú (Congo), Carabalí (Abakuá) and Cuban – Haitian lineages, as well as Rumba. Musicians: Roman Díaz, Rafael Monteagudo, Anier Alonso, Melvis Santa.

The Román Díaz’s Afro Cuban Group will also perform tonight at 7:30pm at Old Main Chapel CU Boulder. He will be joined by guest group Ewe Odara.
