“Little Girl Blue” is a one-woman musical play in development on the life of Nina Simone, written and starring Laiona Michelle, and directed by Kim Fields (yes, that Kim Fields). The producers are aiming for Broadway, so part of that process is getting the production in front of audiences around the country. Miss Michelle comes to Colorado Springs this week, for two already sold-out performances at the Ent Center for the Arts on the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs campus.

This audio features the voice of Laiona Michelle, as well as David Siegel, executive director of the Ent Center, and professor Kevin Landis, who curated this project for performance in the Cabaret at the Ent Center.
