Matt Wilson Quartet at Dazzle

  Friday and Saturday nights at Dazzle Jazz this weekend – the Matt Wilson Quartet. Along with drummer Wilson, the quartet includes Kirk Knuffke – trumpet, Jeff Lederer – sax, and Chris Lightcap – bass.

Their most recent release, which also featured pianist John Medeski, “Gathering Call” was very warmly received. Nate Chinen of the NY Times “A drummer and bandleader drawn to exuberant gestures, he has held fast to a value system that prizes simplicity and sincerity, rugged effort and sturdy design.”
