CMDance presents the 2023 Denver Jazz Festival, running three nights from Friday, September 15 to Sunday, September 17 at The Studio Loft at Ellie Caulkins Opera House at 980 14th St., Denver, CO 80204.
This one-of-a-kind vintage festival focuses primarily on vintage jazz and blues of the 1920s, 1930s & 1940s. The venue features a spacious dance floor, and there are workshops, classes and lectures available from internationally renowned instructors during the daytime hours through their sister events Lindy on the Rocks & Hot Night Fusion Weekend.
This year features NeoDance Stories Immersive Showon Sunday, September 17 at 6 p.m., showcasing Argentine Tango, Zouk, Bachata, Bolero Ariel Performance, Chunking, and more. Featuring flutist Nestor Torres and original music for Tango and Latin Fusion. This is a one-time showing of all original music by Nestor Torres accompanied by Tango and Latin Dance Fusion. Prepare for an interactive dance theater like you’ve never experienced!
Nestor Torres is a Grammy-nominated and Latin Grammy-winning artist who has released 18 critically acclaimed albums with his innovative blend of jazz, classical, and Latin music, punctuated by lyrical improvisation and rhythmic beats.
