New Music from Jimmy Heath

It’s Spring and Baseball Season! We continue our Jazz Appreciation Month Celebration with a swingin’ New Music Monday: tune in Monday at 12noon!

One of the true living legends of jazz is back with a new release. Saxophonist Jimmy Heath’s Big Band new release is “Togetherness: Live at the Blue Note” . Among the all-stars in his band are Denver’s own Greg Gisbert, Roy Hargove and Antonio Hart.

Another big band release is by  Kiwi pianist/arranger, Alan Broadbent and the Hamburg, Germany based, NDR Big Band, “America the Beautiful.”

The Italian pianist based in Kansas city, MO, Roberto Magris  pays tribute to Lee Morgan in “Morgan Rewind, Volume 2.”

Singer-actor Billy Porter has a new recordio

  ng, “Billy’s Back on Broadway.”

The  multi-influenced trio, the Bad Plus returns with “The Rite of Spring.”
