First up is the posthumous released CD by one of the all time great jazz flutists, Sam Most who passed away about 18 months ago.  Mr. Most’s New Jazz Standards on Summit Records s a collection of a dozen tunes all written by the noted trumpeter Carl Saunders. In addition to flute, Sam is heard on clarinet, baritone sax and he throws in some scatting as well.

When Cynthia Felton isn’t singing on stage or in a recording studio, Dr. Cynthia J. Felton serves as the Director for the Ethnomusicology Library of American Heritage in Los Angeles.
