Premiering on Monday, March 15 at noon; along with other new additions to our library:

Roni Ben-Hur – “Stories”
The Israeli-New Yorker gifted guitarist Roni Ben-Hur returns with a magnificent new session featuring the legendary George Cables on piano, Harvie S-bass, Victor Lewis-drums and Ingrid Jensen-trumpet. Two tracks have Mexico’s finest jazz vocalist, Magos Herrera who has ben a visitor to KUVO Jazz.

Russell Ferrante Trio – “Inflexion”
The veteran pianist and co-founder of the Yellowjackets has been playing professionally since 1973 and has been an educator since 1975. He has recorded 25 albums with the Yellowjackets and has played in dozens of other recordings as a leader or accompanists. The title of his latest as a leader, “Inflexion” comes from the Latin word to bend in and to change direction which reflects the tone of his playing on this outing.

The Brianna Thomas Band – “Everybody Knows”
“I’ve had the distinct pleasure of knowing Brianna since she first began to sing and I have seen her mature and become a sought after vocalist in NYC. She has sang with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and recorded one previous album. “Everybody Knows” has an outstanding collection of standards and obscurities performed in a variety of styles sure to please even the most discerning ears.”

Every Monday beginning at Noon, I debut the latest arrivals to KUVO Jazz, often ahead of their regularly scheduled release date. In addition to the music, I’ll provide a few tidbits about the artist in particular if it’s a new or up and coming artist.
