This Sunday, February 3 at 4 pm, KUVO’s performance series “On Stage” features percussionist-led ensembles: The Greg Harris Vibe Quintet and Bill Hill and Friends.

In a session from 2005, vibraphonist Greg Tanner Harris laid out a beautiful and swinging set, featuring Erinn Bone on trumpet, Matt Fuller on guitar, Bijoux Barbosa on bass and Bill Larson on drums.

Bill Hill, who stands as principal timpanist with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, brought his jazz chops and a few friends to the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio in 2014.  On Hill’s tracks, Rich Chiaraluce on saxophones, Neil Haverstick on guitar, Dave Hanson on piano, Ron Bland on bass, and Nadya Hill on violin and vocals.

Produced as a live radio performance in KUVO’s Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio, you can hear the energy of the event, recorded as it was broadcast!  That’s this Sunday afternoon, February 3 at 4 pm, hosted by Susan Gatschet, “On Stage,” a KUVO exclusive!
