On Sundays throughout March, KUVO is celebrating women artists, as they were recorded on the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio.  The KUVO archive program “On Stage” is on the air Sundays at 4:00 p.m.

The United States Congress designated March as “National Women’s History Month” in 1987, and KUVO has been broadcasting women musicians from its studios almost that long.  Among the great performances captured by KUVO are reedwoman Laura Newman and A.O.A., vocalist Roberta Gambarini, conguera Janine Santana, bassist/vocalist Katie Thiroux, violinist Regina Carter, vocalist Teresa Carroll, guitarist Steph Johnson, flutist Ali Ryerson, vocalist Wendy Fopeano, and so many more!

Tune in to “On Stage” for Women at KUVO Jazz, rebroadcast as their sessions were performed in KUVO’s Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio. That’s Sunday afternoon, March 11 at 4 p.m. throughout March.  “On Stage,” a KUVO exclusive!
