Pocho Joe began hosting La Raza Rocks 15 years ago, featuring Chicano and Latin rock-based music that wasn’t typically heard on the radio. This Thursday, he’s being inducted into the Chicano Music Hall of Fame as part of the Chicano Music Festival. As Steve Chavis said, “Pocho Joe is a national treasure whose research proves that the Chicano influence on the American art form called ‘rock and roll’ is significant, yet under-appreciated.”

Pocho Joe was interviewed by Westword and talked about the history of the show and the music that he wanted to hear on the airwaves. Check out the full article here

Congratulations to Pocho Joe on a well-deserved honor!
