Nocturne Jazz and Supper Club’s 18th Renditions Tasting Menu will feature the musical legacy of the Night Tripper, six-time Grammy Award-winning musician, and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Dr. John.

Known throughout the world as the embodiment of the New Orleans’ musical legacy, Dr. John is an icon in American culture and still performs to this day. In the 1960s, he was an in-demand session musician, playing keyboards and also producing records by the likes of Van Morrison, Aretha Franklin, and The Rolling Stones. During that time he also launched his solo career, developing the persona of Dr. John The Nite Tripper. A legend was born with his breakthrough 1968 album “Gris-Gris,” which introduced to the world his unique blend of voodoo mysticism, funk, R&B, psychedelic rock and Creole roots.  He has recorded over 20 albums of his own and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011.

From Iko Iko to Right Place at the Wrong Time, we are having so much fun evoking some good voodoo as we creating this new menu. The music of Dr. John will be presented by acclaimed Denver funk and jazz guitarist Dan Schwindt and his newest musical project, Mama Roux.

We hope you can join us for this new menu release!

***The Music of Dr. John will be performed by the Dan Schwindt Quintet, Dr. John will not be in attendance***
