Servicios de La Raza Holds Holidays En Communidad

Jenny Santos, Director of Essential Services at Servicios de La Raza, joined The Morning Set to share more about their upcoming food and gift distribution event happening December 20th called Holidays En Communidad.

Servicios de La Raza has a long history of providing support and resources to the Colorado community. Their origins date back to 1972, when dozens advocates for Denver’s Latino communities came together to form a bilingual human services organization. Their aim was to better serve Denver’s low-income Spanish-speaking populations.

Over the years, Servicios de la Raza has continued to make an impact for those most vulnerable, offering programs for behavioral health, youth, victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and general crime, individuals living with HIV, mental health, substance abuse, health access, ex-offender reintegration, workforce development and financial empowerment, statewide initiatives that target Latino youths and families throughout Colorado, and basic emergency services for people experiencing crisis situations. Their pulse on the community has them constantly looking for gaps where support can be given.

On December 20th, Servicios de La Raza is holding Holidays En Communidad – a food and gift distribution event. Staff and volunteers will be handing out food and toy baskets to the community at 3131 W 14th Ave from 9:00 AM until supplies last.
