The Rodgers and Hammerstein classic OKLAHOMA!  is in town at The Stage Theater- Denver Center for the Performing Arts Complex through Oct.14. The musical celebrates its 75th year in production and in his DCPA directorial debut, Artistic Director Chris Coleman puts a new spin on an old classic.   In a ground-breaking move, Chris has brought together an all-black cast for this five-week Denver run of Oklahoma!

“Theater is an opportunity to step into someone else’s living room, that you would never have in your waking life,” Coleman told me.  Listen to the interview to hear about what inspired him to have an all-black cast for this production, how the audience is responding to it, how the cast is feeling about it, and so much more.
