Joe Anderies and Chuck Lamb are performing LIVE from KUVO’s Bonfils-Stanton Performance Studio on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.

Vocalist Ria Curley joins Joe and Chuck in a quartet format. Playing with Joe, Chuck and Ria are Denver drummer Mike Marlier and bassist Gonzalo Teppa.

Denver reedman and educator Joe Anderies has been collaborating with international pianist/composer Chuck Lamb for the past two decades. The Denver engagement is their first together in several years. Joe has been a mainstay in music and jazz education in the Front Range for over four years and has performed and collaborated with such artists as Benny Maupin, Nestor Torres, Larry Coryell, Rob Mullins, and Ron Miles. Joe currently serves on the board of the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts and continues to do clinic work in area schools and jazz camps such as Jazztopia at Colorado Mesa University each summer.

Chuck Lamb has been a featured member of the famed Brubeck Brothers band for over 18 years and has toured internationally leading up arrangements with numerous symphony orchestras. His discography includes “Lambinizations II” A Tribute to Dave Brubeck (2014) and
“North By Northeast” (2016). Chuck has shared the stage with such artists as Ray Charles, Pat Metheny, Larry Coryell, Ernie Watts, Richie Cole, and Peter Frampton.

This KUVO broadcast will feature music from Joe’s recent release “Resonance” as well as several originals from Chuck’s recordings. A special vocal appearance by acclaimed vocalist Ria Curley will conclude the set.  The KUVO performance is in advance of their two sets at Dazzle on Saturday, January 13 (6:30 and 9:30 p.m.).
