The Jazz River: Musical Genre Crossing

Jazz fascinates all manner of musicians. How about a ska band playing Eddie Harris? What about when Bluegrass goes Miles Davis or African kora players swing Charlie Parker? Have you heard a French accordion play Bohemia After Dark or Kool and the Gang jamming Charles Lloyd? On Sunday, December 15 at 5 pm the Jazz River gets your ears wet crossing these and other genres, mixing and matching styles both familiar and strange.
