We continue with our Black History Month tribute on February 11 for week two of Black History Radio!

Historic Black American Music has represented the times since its inception at the start of the 20th century.

Rather than presenting chronologically, The Nightside will jump around through the history so we can go through all the movements of the music called Jazz.

As we spotlighted Langston Hughes last week this week, we will examine all the various eras of Black Poetry through the voices of Gil Scott-Heron, Amiri Baraka, Maya Angelou, Nikki Giovanni, and The Last Poets to name but a few.

Join our celebration of Black Culture on The Nightside with Andy O’ on Sunday, February 11 at 9 p.m. on 89.3 KUVO JAZZ.
