Guitarist Harry Leahey was one of those overlooked musicians who, nonetheless, was a great player. We’ll hear a 1980 album from him and his trio on the next Vinyl Vault. The album, “Still Waters” was released on the Omnisound Record Label.

Leahey was joined on the album by Roy Cumming on bass and Glenn Davis on drums. The compositions are mostly original by Leahey or his bandmates, but Leahey also performed a tasty solo version of Soundheim’s “Send in the Clowns.”

Check out the Vinyl Vault with host Geoff Anderson, on Tuesday, August 1 at 8:30 pm on KUVO JAZZ.
