Vinyl Vault: “Our Delights” by Tommy Flanagan & Hank Jones

The spotlight is on the piano this week on the Vinyl Vault as we present a piano duet album with Tommy Flanagan and Hank Jones, two of the finest jazz pianists from the second half of the 20th Century. The album is entitled “Our Delights” and was recorded in January 1978. Flanagan and Jones spent years as accompanists and as a result, they know how to support each other and not step or try to upstage each other. It’s a sympathetic and delightful performance of jazz standards and you can hear it Tuesday at 8:30 pm on KUVO.
