This week on the Vinyl Vault we’ll hear some classic fusion from Tom Scott and the L.A. Express on their debut and eponymous album. Released in 1973, Tom Scott put together a fusion super group for the record. It features Joe Sample on keyboards, Larry Carlton on guitar, Max Bennett on bass and John Guerin on drums. This was also around the time the band was recording and touring with Joni Mitchell, appearing on her albums “Court and Spark,” “Miles of Aisles” and “Hissing of Summer Lawns.” Join Geoff Anderson Tuesday at 8:30 on KUVO Jazz.
