On Monday, September 18 at 8pm on Wulfie’s Wax Museum, we’ll hear “The Godfather of Vocalese,” Eddie Jefferson, in a live performance from March, 1976 at The Tin Palace, in New York City.  The album is called, “The Live-Liest,” released three years later, in 1979, on the Muse label. Eddie’s sidemen feature a duo of alto saxophonists, Eric Kloss and Richie Cole, plus Mickey Tucker on piano, Rick Laird on bass, and drummer, Eddie Gladdens. Join host Mike Wulfsohn as we listen to one of the greatest jazz vocalists ever, Eddie Jefferson, on the Monday Night Beat on KUVO Jazz!
