Join host Michael Wulfsohn tonight for “Wulfie’s Wax Museum,” on the Monday Night Beat, as we take a listen to reed man, James Moody’s 9th album on the Argo label, “Great Day,” recorded in 1963, and reissued on Chess Records in 1982.  The composer of “Moody’s Mood for Love,” plays tenor, alto, and flute on this LP, and features all-star musicians Johnny Coles, Jim Hall, Mel Lewis, and friends, backed up by a studio big band.
