KUVO Studio Club welcomes the Lamont Jazz Orchestra for a live performance on Wednesday, March 28 from 7 to 8pm. The University of Denver’s Lamont Jazz Orchestra has won the top award at the Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival in a tie with Central Oklahoma University. Lamont soloists, Dylan Vessel, trumpet and Matt Campbell, drums won two of the four Judges Soloist Awards!

The Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver is widely recognized as a premier university music performance school. In Denver and the Rocky Mountain West, our students and faculty members experience one of the nation’s world-class arts areas, performing at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts , area jazz clubs and with the Colorado Symphony , Denver Brass , Central City Opera , Opera Colorado , Aspen Music Festival , Bravo! Vail, Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra and others. After graduation, our alumni continue to perform and learn at professional companies including the Metropolitan Opera, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and prestigious music schools including the Eastman School of Music, University of Southern California Thornton School of Music and The Juilliard School.
