KUVO welcomes Jon Romero y Amanecer back to the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio on Friday, August 24, 7 to 8 pm. This Denver based group of musicians has shared the stage since 1997 playing jazz and Latin jazz with internationally renowned jazz musicians such as Tito Puente, Poncho Sanchez, Hilton Ruiz, Los Hombres Calientes, Tierra, Malo and El Chicano just to mention a few. They have been featured on KUVO compilation CD's over the past few years as well.

KUVO Studio Club: Miguel Espinoza Flamenco Fusion

KUVO is excited to presents Miguel Espinoza “one of the most acclaimed flamenco guitarists in the world…” Espinoza has performed both nationally and internationally at notable venues (Red Rocks, Macky Auditorium, Boulder Theater, Chautauqua Auditorium, Denver Botanic Gardens) and has shared the stage with artists such as Kitaro, Tuck and Patti, Rita Moreno and Ben Vereen. He has also composed and recorded music for feature films and documentaries.

The Walter Gorra Quartet will perform music from their debut CD, “In Due Time,” at KUVO Jazz’s Phyllis A Greer Performance Studio on Friday, August 17, at 3pm. This is a special presentation of their new music for Studio Club members. Walter will have copies of his new release with him for Studio Club members to purchase at a special price for KUVO Studio Club members. The Quartet is Walter Gorra-piano, Gonzalo Teppa-bass,  Greg Tanner Harris-vibes and Manuel López-drums/percussion.

KUVO Studio Club: Felonius Smith Trio | August 14

KUVO Jazz welcomes the Felonius Smith Trio on Tuesday, August 14 at 6 pm to the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio when they will perform live in front of a Studio Club Audience. Historic delta blues, country blues, and folk blues - Felonius Smith Trio perform prewar blues music at its most authentic.

CounterCurrent featuring one of KUVO's "30 Under 30" rising jazz musicians, Rico Jones, will perform in the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio on Friday, July 20 from 7 to 8pm. Lead by Rico Jones the band will perform all original music inspired by funk, Fusion, Hip-hop, and Jazz styles. CounterCurrent drives toward the cutting edge of new sounds while melding and blending genres into something truly compelling.
