Honor the life and memories of those who have passed on with Dia de los Muertos food, music, art, traditional Aztec dancing, and a candle-lit processional. Arts and crafts by CHAC artists will be available at the community celebration on October 29, from 5 to 8 pm. This event is free and open to the public with something for everyone.

The Dia de Los Muertos exhibit is October 1 through November 4 at the Arvada Library.

CHAC artists Mark Martinez Luna, Kacy Jonez, Stevon Lucero, Natalie Pacheco, Karma Leigh, Danielle Marie, Janel Rosales, Al Cardenas, Judy Miranda,  Jerry Rael, Angela Ramirez, Lucille Rivera, Rebecca Rozales, Rob Yancy, and Toni Vigil will present their Dia de Los Muertos inspired works at this month-long exhibit. CHAC artist Cal Duran is building an altar to honor loved ones who have passed on.

CHAC is proud to continue this annual celebration and collaborate with JCPL!  CHAC is among one of Denver’s earliest organizations dedicated to this ancient Mexican custom. This event is a part of CHAC Dia de los Muertos Recuerdos 2021.

CHAC Gallery & Cultural Center was founded in 1978 by a group of visual and performing artists. The organization was established as a place where Chicano/Latino artists were provided with a venue to explore visual and performance art and promote and preserve the Chicano/Latino culture through the expression of the arts
