The soundtrack is an essential Miles Davis playlist for seasoned fans and new listeners alike, curated by director Stanley Nelson and paired with short audio excerpts from the film. Fourteen (14) performances from various labels span Miles’ evolution–from “Donna Lee” (the 1947 Savoy master take with Charlie Parker), through the seminal 1950s for Columbia, tracks from Miles Ahead, the landmark Kind of Blue, the ‘70s and ‘80s, and a previously unreleased track produced by Lenny White.
