Announcing the 2023 Instrument Drive — Now through March 19, 2023

The statewide donation locations are the hub of the Bringing Music to Life community. They are the meeting point, the gathering place.

  • They are thanked for being our link to our instrument donors.
  • They are thanked for schlepping and storing our instrument donations.
  • They are thanked for collecting and cataloging our instrument donations.

Although their support of our efforts is ongoing, their ability to accept donations is limited to the dates of the Instrument Drive. Please honor the March 6-19, 2023 Instrument Drive dates when making arrangements to drop off your instrument at any one of our 16 donation locations. They are in particular need of baritone horns, baritone saxophones, cellos, double basses, tenor saxophones, tubas, and violas. While they are always grateful for the donation of any gently-used band or orchestra instrument, this year they would be most appreciative of help with these.

Bringing Music to Life conservatively estimates that 18,000 children from 300 music programs have benefitted from the more than 7,500 instruments donated over the last twelve years.

Do you have an old instrument in need of a young new musician? Donate your instrument.

Don’t have an instrument to donate but want to change a child’s life? Donate to the repair fund.

Are you a music teacher needing help making music with your students? Apply for instruments.
