Matt Wilson has led an extensive career performing with numerous musicians including Lee Konitz, Herbie Hancock, Paul Bley, and many more. Wilson has appeared on over 400 albums as both a leader and sideman. His latest release “Honey and Salt (Music Inspired by the Poetry of Carl Sandburg)” received a 5-star review in DownBeat Magazine. In this interview, we’ll be discussing his story, compositions, memorable gigs, and more.
