Joslyn Ford Keel (JoFoKe) is a multi-genre singer, songwriter & producer with three Grammy nominations to her name as a contributing vocalist. A Denver native, Keel earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music: Technical Voice from Fisk University, a historically Black college in Music City USA: Nashville. Performing worldwide as a solo artist, with her band “aNem (and them)” and a duo project with Solomon Chapman, “SoJourn.” JoFoKe also remains a highly sought-after session vocalist, writer/arranger, vocal producer, music director, clinician, and performer.
Same Cloth is a charismatic, Denver-based, Black woman-led band by JoFoKe that uses its peculiarities to share meaningful art. Same Cloth performs original music and creative cover arrangements that, along with JoFoKe’s charisma and vocal stylings, SCB’s musical vision is brought to life by Solomon Chapman on keyboards, Will Gaines on bass, Callum Bair & James Tré on guitar and Matt Campbell on drums. As a unit, Same Cloth combines the diverse traditions of Black American Music to create an energetically eclectic and emotionally elevating live music experience.
Dazzle presents Same Cloth on Friday, March 17, at 7 pm (doors at 6 pm), and on March 25 at 6 pm & 9 pm Same Cloth features saxophonist Anisha Rush.
In addition to serving as ‘Artists in Residence’ at one of Downbeat Magazine’s “Top 100 Jazz Clubs in the World”, Dazzle, since 2021 and an impressive list of past performances, Same Cloth’s debut single, “No Good” was a Local 303 December 2022 feature on 13 radio stations throughout the state of Colorado.
