On Stage — Women in Jazz Part 3
Throughout the month of March, the KUVO on-air archive program “On Stage” has been celebrating Women’s History Month by featuring women artists, as they were recorded in the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio.
We conclude this celebration on Saturday, March 26, at 10 pm, and Monday, March 28, at 7 pm, as host Susan Gatschet features Julie Monley, Helen Sung, Teresa Carroll, Wendy Fopeano, Mimi Fox, Rene Marie, Lynne Arriale, Kim Bird, and Venus Cruz.
The U. S. Congress designated March as “Women’s History Month” in 1987, and KUVO has been broadcasting women musicians from its studios almost that long. On Stage, a KUVO exclusive!
