On-Air Host | Assistant to the GM

Steve Chavis joined KUVO in 2012 as morning news host and Public Affairs Manager, and spent five years alongside Carlos Lando as co-host of “First Take with Lando and Chavis.” He served for five glorious years as program director. The “band” is back together as Steve is co-hosting “The Morning Set” with Carlos Lando and producer Leonard “Graffiti” Johnson, weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Steve Chavis began his career in public radio as an intern in Detroit and at KGNU in Boulder. Before coming to KUVO, Steve was news director for KBCO, KHOW, and KHIH and spent a dozen years directing communications for an international non-profit organization based in Denver.
